- The Fleet pushes into medium and low earth orbit and the commander broadcasts her demand, for all of humanity to surrender.
- Intelligence is perfectly aware of the nature of humanity's fractious nature and that such a demand could not be accomplished, political ends see this as a benefit and a means to bypass what would normally be a long process of negotiation for direct control.

Leadership Evacuation
- Civilian and military leadership are rushed to select sites, most are known to the fleet overhead and will be selectively struck based on intelligence of the individuals sheltering within. Those whom are deemed to be flexible in their values and who could be used to sway the population post invasion are generally captured with specialized teams. Those of a stronger character are killed via rail gun bombardments.
First Wave of Attacks
- Strikes on active military facilities.
- Strikes on reserve military facilities.
- Strikes on dual use airports and port facilities.

- Special forces teams deployed to secure nuclear sites.

Rushed Intelligence and Lazy Planning
- Period of two to four years of observation.
- Justification that the human species may destroy itself with nuclear weapons despite no combat use since 1945.
- An undercurrent of noble interests in rapidly gaining control over an industrialized species without the complication of negotiations.
- Target planning based around any possible military use both past and current regardless of current use or inhabitation.
- Long term assimilation planning mostly ignoring human norms in favor for what could be seen as a rushed carrot and stick approach.
Second Wave of Attacks and Landings
- Missed naval vessels are struck.
- Military elements that escaped the initial strikes are prioritized and struck from orbit.
- Leadership not selected for capture who were missed by the initial strikes are struct when found via electronic or information means.
- The first wave of landings involving nearly 250 million troops begins, this first wave is mostly focused on urban areas and metroplexes with the goal of establishing control on the majority of the human population in as short a period of time as possible.
Madness, Pure Madness
- The Marines land into an environment alive with 7.5 billion people in a fully panicked state, mixed in with the somewhat armed crowds are countless military and security personnel whom… upon seeing aliens… engage. While those in charge had made an effort to demand surrenders over various forms of wireless communications the nature of the electronic warfare environment and the simple reality that command and control had been severed meant nobody was in charge anymore.
- Countless skirmishes and orbital strikes are conducted with both sides taking casualties, one lesson learned on the human side is the nature of the alien's body armor and its modest resistance to intermediate cartridges but its high vulnerability to full sized rifle rounds.
- The Imperial Marines find themselves in a situation they aren't trained for, massive crowds of unruly civilians, some armed, some fighting, some running. Most of the next wave of deaths will come from these contacts as Imperial forces begin to establish order by any means they can.

- Between the years of 2019 and 2025 it is estimated that roughly 785 million to 1.15 billion perished due to both the initial invasion and it's after effects.
- Roughly half a billion are estimated to have died during the first few months from the initial strikes, ground operations, and the general chaos of human society reeling.
- The remainder perish from the destruction of all the delicate things that kept modern human civilization going being disrupted and in some cases destroyed, on going acts of resistance to an occupation that few realize is now official, and all the misunderstandings and random acts of violence such a large scale invasion presents.
