### A dense ceramic material with very high endurance against direct kinetic and thermal stresses, it is a nano-manipulated material enhancing natural ceramic's characteristics toward the various industrial and military needs. Its primary use is that of a principle ablative on a large number of military and civil applications. However it is a very brittle material with only a moderate tensile strength meaning it will break once it reaches the end of its endurance rather then slowly deforming, however when applied in a composite manner this can allow numerous layers flacking off rather than the total failure of the plate. This can be countered by either compositing the material or using a casing of more flexible but less dense metals or polymers. ### ### Aside from armor, Seraplate is also used in an insulating role in high temperature applications due to its high thermal insulative properties. It can also be used as a coating to reduce mechanical wear on softer materials and metals. It is widely manufactured throughout the Sundala Starzone in both small and industrial scale amounts. ###
