+  *In Cryptid Chronicles the main thing holding back Mavri Petra is societal norms and laws governing the treatment of subjects, even new ones. The war and the subsequent mass deployment of biological weapons by the Ar'kringa removes a lot of these checks on their goals as desperate Earth committee seeks any means to get ahead of the growing epidemics behind the front line.
